Okay first things this is a daily personal pleasure system, I will not be competing with it. And if I did it would be for the install not for the loudness, I might consider a SQ comp but thats it.
As my plans currently stand this is what I have already purchased
Alpine cda-9886
Polk Momo mmc 6500
elemental designs nine.2
2 rolls raammat
----------
This is where I am not sure what I want to do.
My main objective is for it to sound good and get decently loud while not distorting.
I had originaly planned on a sundown 3000d
and two digital designs 3512's
then I decided why not try out Fi, so I decided sundown 3000d and 2 Fi Q 12's W/ BP power option
then I got to thinking do I really need two subs? If I don't which one brand of sub should I go with?
so no im torn between the above two choices and these two choices which is pretty much either one dd 3512 or one fi q 12 w BP and a sundown 1500D
--------------
This is all going to go into a 2000 ford f150 REGULAR cab short bed.
------------------------
My main question is how much of a output lose am I looking at if I went from 2 subs to one sub and cut my power in half?
Im really thinking about doing this just for the fact that I can save almost 1000 dollars by not doubling up my substage.
Any insight, thoughts, opinion etc etc are welcome.
Also is it true that as a general rule of thumb you lose approximatly 10 db from mounting your driver in a sealed enclousure as opposed to ported?
