A lot of serial killers don't care about and often don't want fame...they're just really sick people.

To a point yes, But what is the good in accomplishing something if noone ever knows about it. I feal most of them desire to get caught eventually.

Look at the Zodiac serial killer. He killed for fame under the name Zodiac.......they still have no idea 30 years later who he actually was though.

It's not really fair to say how they feel, because they themselves are so screwed up mentally that I doubt they know how they actually feel. Some may desire getting caught, some thrive on having control over the police and notting get caught, and some just thrive on being a generally fu*ked up person.

Well they all are fuked up, At least they have that much in common. I have a few old freinds that are all in prison for murdering, They did not make very wise decisions when doing it. One killed out of passion, one killed out of rage, and the other was just ****ed up on drugs and retaliating from a threat made. All I could think of on each instance was how tragic and I knew they were smarter then that. I know all 3 of them could have planned it better if they wanted to but for some reason they all had a severly ****ed up train of thought at the time that they had no chance what so ever. I feel really bad for 2 of the victems and hate that it happend, the other I could care less about and felt he deserved it.
