I've been wanting to get a new laptop, but after further consideration and knowing that my laptop has yet to do me wrong, im just going to upgrade mine a little

1) I dont know what kind of ram to get (200 pin? 204 pin? how much?

2) i dont know what kind of battery to get

Here is the computer:

I'de like to get as much ram as possible, but i dont know where to look to see how much ram it can handle. I'de like to update to 4 gigs, but i may just to 2 gigs if no one can answer that

How do i figure out if i need 200pin or 204 pin ram? or does it matter?

any help would be greatly appreciated

oh, and any pointers to dumb down vista a bit would also be appreciated. All that widget crap and windows defender is quite useless to me, so those are being rid of already

honestly i would just buy a single 1gb stick and either upgrade it to 1.5gb or 2gb depending on what type is in there now

i just linked to the 2gb to give him the max and the correct type he needed. i havent had any issues with newer laptops not supporting single 2gb sticks though

if you don't know the answer then dont open your mouth and give wrong info please. he cannot use a 2 gig stick! the specs he posted clearly state it!
That might not work. He may have to do 2 1 gig sticks.
you are correct!!!!!!!

26$ for 2 - 1 gig matching sticks.

look at it closer that model line is 3 yrs old //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif I sell everything electronic for a living as a wholesaler trust me //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

where is your proof it wont work and where do the specs clearly state it? all i see is "2gb max" in the specs

if specs meant everything then my asus 701 netbook wouldn't work with a 2gb stick since the max supported is 1gb, but it does

stating you sell electronics doesn't prove you know anything about computers

unless you have firsthand knowledge that this particular model will not work with a 2gb stick then i stand by my assumption

either way a 2gb stick is overkill, just get a 1gb stick and add it to the 512mb

That's an old *** laptop. A135 is early 2007. If it supports 4 or more you can use 2 gig sticks.
