Help me find DVR type product

I'm looking for an xmas present for my parents, and they are pretty old school when it comes to stuff like this. They have regular t.v, no cable, no satellite. Just an old antenna. They have a VCR and a DVD player. The VCR records their programs they miss to watch later, and their VCR is going bad.

So I want to find a replacment for them, and something that is better then a VCR. I am thinking a DVR type of product, but I don't really want the record to DVD, just record to HDD. Something that can record from antenna co-ax cable in. Basically, a TIVO that would can be set for timed recordings and playback, but it has to work with the co-ax cable.

Any ideas to get me started would be great. Budget is around 50 if that is even possible.

Is there a different name for what I am looking for? When I search DVR, I come up with things that write to DVD's, and some have HDD's. Im looking for something with just a HDD. Is it still classified as a "DVR"?

you won't be able to find any half decent hdd based machine for that kind of budget i'm afraid.....
