EQ-Sticking with my PPI DEQ230

Interior Amp-ADS PQ20 4 channel amp or keep my PPI PC650

Interior speakers- keep my MB Quart (see signature) or switch to some Focal Utopia 165 w3's

SUB amp- Sticking with my PPI PC2350

Subs- 2 12'' JL audio w6vs's (want to be able to get loud)

keeping my Cap and Batteries(see signature)

ok so if i make any changes that would mean I can get most of my trunk back, and also sell my subs to offset the cash im dumping. My main changes would be subs, Interior amp, and components.

so what do you think guys? should i swap out the EQ aswell?

Thanks.

Lol, not trying to show off, MOST of everything i have is semi old school. want to do some upgrading but im a firm believer that old school amps are the way to go and the way for me to stay. I came up on a decent some of money (buisness pay off) and i want to step it up a notch.

you dont have to tell me the DEQ is excellent, same with the PC650, i just want opinions on better options. though they are great, not the best. I have a Car Audio magazine from 1997 with a review on the 650 and the A/D/S 6 channel(dont know model number off the top of my head) and the A/D/S beat the pc650 in both SQ and power output. it was a higher rated amp but I want something that will drive my current interiors of something that will bring complete clarity to the Focal's.

I would say the IDMAXv3 12" subs would be a nice change. I like the w6v2 and they sound good. But I want me some of those IDMAX's. Best sounding subs I have heard to date. Plus they have a sexay back end!
What do they go for?

blah. I'd keep the W6v2 over the idmax. I have the IDMAX right now and it has been through many installation (sealed, ported, and infinite baffle) and the W6v2 still sounds better. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

There is nothing I would change in that setup except throw out the rear speakers. Other than that, it all boils down to how well you can work your EQ and xovers.

to late, just bought 2 10 w6v2s for 350.00 off a buddy. called him up and its just my luck he was hard up for cash. they are 10's and the dual 4 ohm models but thats ok, for 350.00 im willing to try em out. worst case i can sell em to one of you guys or ebay right?

focal's midbass will be more punchy and have more output. Tweeter details goes to the focal also. Midrange-wise, the MBQ's will be a bit more relaxing while the Focals are more in your face. Like many other focal products I've encountered, their midrange is a bit congested, but not to a point where it's horrible. Its just not as clear and detailed as some of the other mids in its class.
