Read some of the links that have been posted, and tell us what you think it means (yes, I am going to make you figure this one out on your own).

Atleast give it a shot //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/thumbsupwink.gif.129404938effda6ad9cca39e7f4b58a3.gif

no problem... i dont usually ask questions without searching... i just

figured this was one of those things id need someone to explain...

ill spend some time with the links and post back soon...

also... having fun... how did you search by T/S parameter?

if i was at home i could give you the (engilish meaning of those) parameters. bass box pro 6 tells you what each of those mean. im sure you can figure out the easy ones like fs re and xmax

alright so i tried reading some of that stuff and i think

i need to get a car audio for fvcking idiots book or

something...

so i decided to get some parameters from my SE so

i could compare...

i would think BL is important being motor strength but

RE does not list it on their site...

the BL on the sub im asking about is 11.36 but i have

no reference... so i dont know if thats considered a strong

motor or not...

the FS is 25.1 on the RE compared to the other sub at 28.63...

so does that mean it doesnt get as low as the SE???

the QE of an SE is lower at .49 vs .57

the QM of an SE is higher at 4.5 vs 3.56

the QTS of an SE is .44 vs .49

so the SE is slightly better suited for a vented box vs the other sub...

but both are pretty close to being ok in a ported box...???

the VAS on an SE is way more at 72.9 vs 54.88 so is the SE gonna

have a lot more SPL???

the SD on the RE site lists the SE at 480 while the other sub

is listed at .0456 m^2 so i have no idea how to compare those

figures...

you cant say im not trying at least...

You can't compare T/S specs line by line (at least for every one)...just because a sub has a higher BL than another doesn't make it overall good or bad. Sub manufacturers design the sub with a specific goal in mind, if it takes a different motor strength to acheive that goal, whatever.

yeah but considering that i dont have the basic knowledge

to apply right now i would start off by trying to compare...

move the decimal places over 456 is ur other sub compared to 480 on the se, meaning the se has more surface area
