Help me choose

hmmm.. what 1000 watt amp should i consider? and hopefully i won't need a new battery with just 1 1000 watt amp, with such a cheap price, i might as well get 2x 15's of those obsidian car audios??? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif what amp for 1, or if i decide to get 2? ( for NO-battery upgrade pleasee //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif )

still need answers please ^^ as i am looking to get moving on the orders and box making next wednesday

hmmm soo since i am looking to not upgrade my battery,

what if i got 2 600 watt 15"s and ran them both at 1000 watts, would it still be 2000 watts off the battery ? or just 1000 ( thus , i can use battery in the hood)

looking to spend around $700 total for the sub and amp if anything!

and well, if i get 1 sub thats 1000 watts, = 1000 watts draw on battery

i get 2 subs that are each 1000 watts, = 2000 watts draw on botter, unless i bridge, which is 500 watts on each sub ( which is poopy )

If you want, the Obsidian Audio 15 will perform great off a thousand watts, I'm sure you'd be plenty pleased with the output. For a matching, NEW amp...

Meh, it's hard to find quality amps, NEW, and at a good price. If you're looking to amp your speakers as well as your sub, I'd recommend this eD 9.5. Elemental Designs: Car Stereo, Home Speakers, Electronics for affordable, and quality, at a decent output. They have them available in b-stock on their forums: http://forum.edesignaudio.com/showthread.php/elemental-designs-b-stock-car-76593.html

I use their 9.1 mono amp for my sub and it's awesome. Also keep in mind they are rated at 12v. and underrated at that. So with voltage at 13+, you could probably expect closer to 1,000w

Also, there's this Sundown SAX-1200: SSA Store - Sundown Audio SAZ-1200D Amplifier

Expensive, but definitely quality, and underrated as well.

I guess I'm just cheap when it comes to quality amps, I'm really a used guy.

There are a couple budget ones you can go with, that do rated and take some abuse from MB Quart, and Audiopipe. Not the prettiest things, but they do work well.

MB Quart ONX1.1500D - ONYX Class D Monoblock Car Amplifier/Amp

MB QUART ONX1.1000D 1000W Mono D Amplifier : ONX11000D : $158.95 : VMInnovations.com

Audiopipe APSM-1300 2000W Mono Mini Amplifier : APSM1300 : $108.95 : VMInnovations.com

AUDIOPIPE AP10001D 1000W MONO Power Amplifier : $143.95 : VMInnovations.com

Audiopipe AQX-1200.1 1200W Mono D Amplifier : AQX12001 : $208.95 : VMInnovations.com

VMI is a supporting vendor on this site as well. They always have the best prices, and free shipping. And if you look on their forum, you can probably get a % off discount. Also, have you already purchased your wiring?

have not purchased anything, going to get a front dash, 2x Pioneer TS-D1602R 's , some cheap $50 amp from someone for those on this site... ( which i am wondering if i get a 1000watt amp for subs, will a 200 watt amp for speakers be too much? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif ) and not sure on the head unit/sub/amp for subs yet.. so many options.

that MB quart, the 1500 watt one and the 1000 watt one, i want to get the 1500 watt one.. but if i get it i will need a separate battery won't I? so i should settle for the 1000 watt? and errmmmm so many people have told me the HDC315 is a LOUD *** sub, the Obsidian Audio is apparently the same as the SA-15, but im not sure what to get :S

hmmmm, if i get the quart 1500, and run it at 2ohms for 1000 watts ( So i don't need a new battery... ) will that work? or is the 2ohms just... idk i don't fully understand ohms entirely

If i get a battery for the rear hatch.. as i really don't want too. just curious, how much are they? i don't want to spend over $100 for one. or around that , if i pay that price are they even worth it

i dont think youll need one. your mids n highs amp wont pull much current. and I think you can pull 1000rms at 2 ohms. on you electrical. Just do the big 3 under the hood. also will depend on your listening habits. if you dont ride around on full tilt all day long, you should be fine.
