Help me choose an 8" sub for my Jeep Cherokee

I'm building a small system in my Jeep Cherokee. Just finished tearing apart the interior and installing sound deadening throughout.

Heres what I'm working with. I prefer SQL to SPL. Leaning towards a 8". I listen to lots of different music, Will rarely have the sub at a max level. Just looking to fill up the subsonic freq. Enjoy balanced sound.

Box:

custom MDF box that fits in a panel in the jeep,

cutout out for a 8" round or square, or 10" max depth 6"

.32 cu.ft sealed volume

Amp:

270w RMS @ 4ohm

430w RMS @ 2ohm

Budget: $200ish

Love to hear your suggestions. This will be my first 8".

Thanks!

American Bass VFL8D4 !

4ohm so you can wire them down too 2ohm that would be better for your amp, also they look great and with that carbon - kevlar cone you get rigidity that will improve sound quality while still being able to play quite loud!

my dads friend had one of these before he got himself couple of 12's and i remember that they were able to do pretty much everything, great lows (not that loud tho), precise and still it could shake some things in the car when you turned it up however, its an 8" woofer so there will be some compromises considering sound pressure (super loud for being a 8" tho!). Over all it sounded great but not really the loudest woofer you can get considering its an 8

Recommend these and they only cost 129$ on Sonic electronics, many get 2 and go dual?

Either e8 v3 or VFL 8. Either one are good subs. I've been doing the same research. I am wanting to drop 4 in my trunk. I am going to end up with the American bass more than likely because i have read the power handling is a bit more.

Girlfriend also wants one in her car so ill probably throw 1 in hers also.
@mylows10; can hook you up with some American bass products. Great guy

I don't have time to look but I will say I looked at every single decent 8 when I got mine. The E or VFL can not touch the 608.
I was going to get the 608 before my budget got bigger. The X was my second choice.
Bro he's got a 400watt amp lol.. The dd or x would hardly move on that power. And right on dd website it says the 600 is best for ported and he's trying to run .3sealed
