Help! Loud thumping noise coming from subs.

Please help I don't know much about sound systems. Whenever I close my door the vibration comes out of my subs. A friend of mine told me its probably a bad ground. The shop that installed my amp grounded the wire to a piece of metal on my fuse box. Is it fine their or should i put it somewhere else. If so where? Thanks for the information.

what kind of vehicle do you have? grounding to the frame is always a safe bet

Found out that the wire to my fuse box is actually conected to the fuse, so its the hot wire. Well the amp would never turn off when i turned the car off because it was hooked up to my radio which has a light that flashes. So i switched the fuse to another. Now the amp turns off when i turn the car off. The loud thumping noise from my subs turns off too now. I guess the amps setting are just set to high.I have a 96 Acura Integra gsr. Thanks for the help.
