Help - laptop help

Seems my score sucks, and I have windows vista home basic. My computer locks up after about 12 hours of use, screen goes blue, black, or is black with white lines down the middle. It worked fine before I downloaded autoCAD and photoshop. Would upgrading to home premium do the trick otherwise I am on the verge of switching back to XP, My graphics card must **** so this could be the problem. Can link me or point me in the direction of a better one....? How hard would it be to install?

thats a decent score and it should run fine. my laptop gets a score of 2.5 using vista ultimate with 1gb of ram and it runs fine

make sure your computer isnt overheating

Thanks for the help, maybe its simply gettin to hot? Upon startup it says "major error"

if it runs fine for a certain period of time and then just shuts down i would guess overheating. use that program to keep an eye on the temps
