HELP kicker L7 cuts out at medium volume and buzzes

OK so one day im driving and my L7 cuts out,i turn off the car and turn down the volume and it comes on.... i slowly turn up volume and right as it starts hitin it cuts out and the amp says overcurrent. the owners manual says that means that there is a short circut in the speaker....i take the speaker out of the box and play at low volume and there is a buzzing like there is somthing ratteling around in the magnet. wtf is the problem???

if u have a dmm check the coils and see if there ok. if u push down on the sub can u hear any odd sounds?

Grounding issues on the amp, or you wired the subs incorrectly and now have too low of an impedance. DISREGARD THAT, READING > ME

Edit: Sounds like you have a loose coil. :\ Push down on the subs when they're out, listen for sounds.

yea cell phone was used. i took the pic right after i got the tattoo u might see some blood still lol.

should i take it out of the box to push on it? when i tap it and listen in the port it makes a scratchy tinging sound it never used to make

also i dont have a dmm, i know i sound ignorant but what is it and where would i find one and for how much, i know i could look this up but im too lazy

sounds like u damaged one of the voice coils. mine did the same thing, had to send it back to kicker.. when u look at the coils look for spots that look like melted plastic/rubber. thats how mine lookd on the +/white dot. still not sure what caused it, but thats what i would look for. along with pickin up a DMM like said above.
