help kicker kx400.1

i bought a kicker 400.1 i plugged it in and everything it powered on but sub did bump or anything.

any ideas?

we're gonna need more info to help you. first off what kind of subwoofer, the voice coil configuration, what impedance have you wired it up for, crossover settings, etc.

sundown sa-15d2 wired at 1ohm, i tried a whole bunch of settings on the amp

Kicker zx series amps are not one ohm stable. That bein said it should have played a few seconds before protection.

I bet it didnt hit protect. If it doesnt play any sound, obviously it cannot "see" the lower than rated load. Check for input signal(rca) and crossover settings. Quick test is to swap with a known good amp. Hope u got a warranty.lol.

try wiring into a 4 ohm configuration and see if it works.

i bought it from my boss who is a dumbaśś he buys crap and sells it i told he it was **** and he sold it to me cheep.

The fact that you bought it for $20 could have something to do with it as well, but my bet is on that the amp won't even recognize a 1ohm load.
