help I need it quick

ok I got my subs wired in series/parallel I am running two amps ane is an alpine 40by4 at 4ohm the other is Audiobahn 1800d any way I ran the wires and the fuze in the first fuse nearest the battery was messed upso I swaped the fuses cuse I just wanted the boom ok well the fuse size in front is supposed to be 60A but the one I swaped it for was 30A and then I just ran the one amp the big one to the subs with no fuse for the other cuz I do not have anything hooked up to it after I was done I truned on the radio and when up to about 3/4 volume the 30A in the back on the distrbution block blew but the one in the front did not why can anybody teel me why this happened
