help hooking up sub

the gains i had them set at practically 0 remember cuz i just had it hooked up to that POS kenwood 6.5 speaker to test it. try setting the gains on it and make sure all the other settings are set right. can't remember if i set it to HPF since i had it hooked up to that speaker to test it 4 u.

 
well it looks like the ground terminal on the amplifier had been broken off and looked to have been through a fire... Will be speaking with cgndhhh very soon about this as he sold me the amp and only informed me that the rubber covering was missing... Some of the things that poke up to hold the ground terminal in place were also broken off which is why my problem occured...

very displeased about this
