95 Mustang coupe I have my box thanks to CScstang for one 10 inch soundqubed that I'm gona go with. 6 1/2 coaxs up front with the kenwood 6x8's that I already had, going in rear deck. I'm trying to come up with Amp rack ideas and pretty much resorted gona mount the amps on my fold down seats. I saw one guys idea on google today where he made an amp rack that he mounted on the rear deck. I doubt I want to make anything to be honest but was wondering if I chose to rather the 6x8's would be fine WITHOUT a box and using the trunk as a box? I'm going with a crescendo 800.4 to drive the Hi's by the way

my seats are the black ones. Disregard the junk lol and that's the old system. It will be totally neat this time around //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I can probably run the wires up under the carpet. Under the carpet theres I believe that material is plastic. Can probably run all the wires under there and come up through the carpet on the back of seats.

I only worry about when putting the seats up which i probably won't unless I'm stopped at a store or what have you. I would have to leave the wires a little longer so they would flex because all the wiring is going to come up from the bottom of the seat, back area. I think the smaller wires will be fine but the 0 gauge might have a little flex problem

.............Or I might just not run them under the panel but rather zip tie them together and just make a cover plate out of some light material to cover the wiring although it might look ok after ziptying

No box on the rear speakers, cross them above the range the subwoofer will play.
If I used the box anyway but still cross them over above the subs will the results be the same?

no box doesn't have a bearing on the speakers as far as damaging them? I'm thinking like using subs that aren't free to air without a box

Did you put a adapter for the coaxials for the front? Are the front speakers 6x8s?
Cscstang built me adapters as well //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

yes 6x8's came in there. I had them in front so wanted to use them as rear fills in the rear deck

Take a piece of wood put carpet on it and mount it vertically put the amp, distro and wiring on that bud. Then put that behind your back seat and the box between that and the back of the trunk bam like a pro.

I'm going to just mount to the seat. Got a few thoughts from guys and also seen some images while googling that looked nice

If I don't use the mach 460 box and just mount the 6x8s in the deck , would the holes for the tweeters need to be filled and also the 2 square holes in the center?

I have aftermarket 6x8's

The 6x8s will sound fine with those holes left open. They're not there for bass. Depending on how closed off the trunk would be, you might want to leave the big holes open so bass can get into the cabin freely.

only PITA is going to be drilling the holes because it will have to be drilled from the bottom to secure the 6x8s. The box would eliminate that but i might like the less weight on the stang even though the mach box isn't too too heavy
