Help finding my alternator

Can't seem to find my alternator.. its a Volkswagen Passat 1998 V6. I need find out where to put the Bat + to alt and the eng block to chassis cable. Any help is appreciated.

well it'll have a belt running to it so it's on the front area of the engine... probably on the bottom. put a jeck on the car crawl under and pull some of the plastic off... it's probably under there... ohh and buy a shop book for it and it'll tell you right where it is
