my friend has a little car project like me soon, and us high school kids are in a dilemma, quite a big one. he is going to do a very similar involving 3 ways as i am and a fi q or 2 ssd's in back.

Now there are several amp brands on these forums that have hype and people follow, and support. there are the kicker guys, the arc and zapco and zed guys, and also the sundown supporters. But there are other good amps and good companys too like massive doesnt get that good of hype here but they are great, and eD makes solid amps as well. But is the cost of le-way and the extra power and quality worth waiting 2-3 months to get the funds.

i need to spend around 575 less on amps to power my 3 ways and fi q which will need around 1200 - 1500 watts. i can only spend 600 to be on schedule with when i planned to do my system. But is it worth waiting 2-3 months for funds to get sundowns amps. or should i go with a memphis 1300belle or eD nine.1 and 2x now and upgrade later?

I will be doing my wiring right the first time if i feel the need to upgrade later. 0/1 big three / grounds / power run. 10 gauge speaker wire, yellow top under hood until i can get a red in hood and move yellow in back.

So i just need your opinions now.

here my setup and what would you do if you were in my situation as a high school kid with no job other than mowing lawn, chores, and making cds for people at school which all in all lets me earn like 70$ a month.

eD nine.1 with eD nine.2x - 550

Memphis 1300 Big Belle 5 channel - 575

Sundown 100.4 Sundown 1500D - 775

Massive Audio Amps - Uncertain where to buy and models?

Kicker zx1000.1 and 650.4 - 750 range?

Thx for help- i Never thought i would be making one of these threads that i even hate to read. But ive searched and all these amps are solid.

Mike.

ps ill be ordering today or tomm. so fill out poll please.

yeah it my paintball teams logo, but then logo and border of scope arn't proportional, ive seen it both ways, it looks better that way. and poll is up now

Mike

yeah but sundown > us amps imo in terms of customer service wise. they = probably in build and power. US amps is mainstream and joined with the new1!1 RE soo they'll service will go down imo if not hasnt already

and yeah my budget is diff then most peoples lol.

Mike

alright narrowed down to 3. Sundown, Memphis Belle, eD's

is the money justified in spending on the sundown, mostly service and quality of build. all three in same power range other then the 1500D can go .5 and has about 200 wats more at 1.

Mike

i would go with the sundowns cause:

1) they look really nice

2) after reading several reviews and getting to see/mess with a 1500 i am really impressed.

3) warranty. not many companies warranty an amp at 1/2ohm. very impressive.

4) not to many people will have the same amps as you.

nothing wrong with any of the other brands though. all nice. but if you do want to save some money definately go with the ed. the nine.1 is a really good amp that'll put out close to 1500wrms @ 14.4v.

id do the belle man. i have nothign but love for ever mclass am ive owned. and at that price man you wont hear a differance between the others. they're all good amps. if you can hear a differance in the mids and highs between that memphis and the others then you're probly fooling yourself. bass differance will be minimal if even noticable at all. get the belle....not to ention its sehssay...

these arent budget amps either you dingus

Yeah, the belle and sundown are now my last two i narrowed down.

I like the idea of all my comps and sub running of one amp, but then again i dont think it'll work with the false floor i had in mind, i would really like to support jacob because his products are great and he really helps take care of us on these forums, but financially wise i dont think i'll have the electrical or money to get them, at least at this moment.

I found 2 great ebay stores, who have had great sucess, with these forums.

12v kings and also tristate audio. tristate sells dls comps and memphis amps mostly where 12 v kings sell bunch of stuff. Im little nervous about dealing with an ebay store, but i think if my amp works fine for 90 days, and i set it right, i wont have problems.

But more opinions would be nice.

Buying tonight most likely.

Mike

My vote is for the Kicker combination. I recently got a Kicker 850.4 for my vehicle and I absolutely fell in love. Kicker really makes a nice product. They might be a little higher than most in terms of price, but I wouldn't hesitate to make another purchase.
