Help... Did I screw up this sub purchase?

About two weeks ago, I bought a Polk GNX104 10" subwoofer for a cabinet I'm building. Yesterday I ordered a 5-channel amp that delivers 200w RMS at 4-ohms to the sub channel. The problem is that my sub is rated at 175w RMS at 4-ohms (although rated 400w peak). Should I have bought a higher watt rated subwoofer?

Thanks!

yea the max power on that amp's sub channel should be around 400 if it's rms is 200...you actually have 25more watts than it's rated rms power...thats not a problem tho if you keep your gains on the amp down a smidge...you might not even have to keep the gains down any further than you normally would

that's a better way to do it than to buy a lower rated amplifier... you won't ahve to worry about straining hte amp to put out adequate power... it's easy to limit the power coming from an amp, but pretty darn hard to get more if you want it...
