Starting on my next build, just waiting on buying the last three subs

installing 4 dayton ho 12s into the back of a ext cab 2005 silverado, no rear seat isntalled though.

Want to install battery if possible in the rear cab area as well as the 12s and the 2 amps. Thinking the amps on the back wall, 12's obviously along the floor but not sure on the battery. mainly just want it to be a short run for the second batt but can obviously move it to under hood if need be.

Advice im looking for is where to put battery and how to attach this box to the floor of my truck. IM thinking a simple rectangular box that sits on the drive train/transmission hump and then adding a face plate/baffle to it that will flush mount the subs as well as follow the countour of the hump.

Box can be either sealed or ported but I'll prob go sealed as it's a pain to make small ported boxes.

I just want this to be clean and simple looking and try to avoid having wires laying around everywhere and take my time doing this right and planning it all out first

oh yeah amps are jbl gto1004 and bpx2200

use the mounting spots and bolts that the rear seats would have used, and fit your battery next to your box, mount amps on a board behind battery, (pretty much a boot setup, but instead of being in the boot, it's in the rear seat area)

So thinking the 12s straight across, forward firing and shifted towards passenger side of cab. Then a dead area to left of box, which will be either separate or attached to sub box. Face baffle will make it look like one solid box regardless.

Now for amps, thinking of keeping them on back wall. Just need a way to make them look better mounted. Guess like an amp rack. Any ideas?

Or coukd maybe do a false floor and put amps under the subs and mount some fans. Kinda hesitant there as i feel the jbls run kinda warmish to hot
