Help - Creative people !!!! Trunk

Hey guys,

So, here is my slight delema. Getting rid of my Soundstream amps for US amps MD2 and MD41. So now I need help positioning the amps correctly. I don't want to redesign my whole trunk. The trunk looks amazing now but partly do to where the terminals and inputs are on the 1600. Check it

Trying to keep it clean and pretty but now I have to consider wire placement. Here is a pic of an MD2

Also, another concern I have are the fused distro block and my circuit breaker. I think my ckt breaker is a 250, can't recall what the fused distro block is but should this be an issue? Do the US amps draw more then the Soundstream?

ahhhh, after looking at it I think I will be ok. I should be able to hide the wires enough by running them along the bottom or underneath the amp.

How about the amp draw, anyone know?

Count the number of fuses of each amp...add them up. Thats the what the amp draws at full tilt (0db test tones), a little less or you would end up with blown fuses.....with properly set gains of course...

OK, so the MD2 has a fuse rating of 40a x 3 = 120amps

and the MD41 has a fuse rating of 25a x 2 = 50 amps

170 amps total at full tilt?

So what would I need a the distro block and circuit breaker?

My circuit breaker near the battery is atleast 200, I'm thinking it's 250.

Per the manual on my van goghs the maximum fuse rating for the 1600 is 90 amps and for the 600 it's 80 amps. Total 170 amps.

D0nt fuse to high or you run the risk of burning something up....Both amps are unlikely to pull the full 170 amps anyway so you should be fine with 160-170...

gotcha, thanks. So is this the fuse in the distro blk we are talking about or the ckt breaker? Or both?
