Help choosing amp Alpine or Boston?

Howdy,

Im about to get a new system in my car, im getting 1sundown sa12 4ohm as for the amp i was thinking of either an Alpine MDX1100 rated at 1100rms at 1ohm or Boston Acoustics GT-2200 which is rated 900 rms at 2ohm. Both ratings are at 14.4v and are CEA rated. Any suggestions or previous experience with either amp? Im trying to have good SPL and SQ. Thanks!

If you are not going to maintain the 14.4v, expect to see less.As for a well made amp, I recommend this one for the money

Though both amps/brands are well known, I personally would choose the Alpine over the Boston,just because I like Alpine more, and they have always been dependable for me.Yet that American Bass would be more my pickens

Get the 2ohm sa12 so u can wire to 1 ohm.

If you decide that you will be adding another sub later on, id stick with the DVC4ohm,so you will be able to get the most out of the amplifier of 1ohm stable, if not, Using one sub, as recommended,if wanting to run at 1ohm stable, get the DVC2ohm sub.If wanting to stay at 2ohm stable, running at 1 sub, one dvc4ohm sub, if wanting ti run 2ohm stable with two subs in the future, get dvc2 ohm subs

I would run that Boston at 2ohms rather than that Alpine at 1ohm. ALL. DAY. LONG.
