Alright to make things brief, i have a Rockford Fosgate Cabin Speaker Amp for my components and i was redoing my system tonight, so i unhooked all the connections etc and i went to pick the amp up and when i picked it up i heard something rattling inside like something as moving around freely so i was like WTF is this? obviously.
Well i took the amp cover off and i saw two of the Amps Capacitors floating around the amp board not even attached to anything, u could see the solder points there were burn marks and the two caps were just floating around not connected, there are FOUR capacitors in the amp, and two had unsoldered themselves so there is only two capacitors left on the board, but anyway i took them out obviously and was thinking this CANT be good.
Well i hooked the amp back up and it played fine!! i was like WTF? Is this normal? two of the caps had fallen off of the amp board and the amp still plays fine without any audible issues and two caps missing?
I still have the caps on my person im just wondering if its possible for me to resolder them on myself / how would i go about doing that
