Help building a slotted port box for 2 12" alpine type R's

My current design for 2 12" type r's.

This is inside the box is

Length=37.5

depth=14

height=12

Making 2 ports 12 x 1.25 x 22

The only part im confused on is the port length with a L bend?

do i take the 14-1.25=12.75 so that would be the port wall going back then 22-12.75=9.25 but have to subtract the MDF width which is 3/4 so the back port wall would be 8.50? did i do this correctly if not someone help please would greatly be appreciate it. thanks

You measure L-ports down the center of the port.....
