help, asap. please

to make a long story short, my mom's keys are lost/stolen.. she has a 2007 ford taurus with a remote start from circuit city. when we went there they said they needed an extra key to override the stock security system.

does anybody have any idea where the key is.

1- The car is a two thousand and seven ford taurus.

2- There is a remote start, which you can activate the vehicle via remote that was installed by a Circuit City technician.

3-There is a STOCK "alarm" system on the two thousand and seven Ford Taurus. The technician at Circuit City said they needed to override the stock alarm by disengaging it with the spare key.

4. If anybody has any idea about alarms or circuit city or anything, if you know where they would have to override the ignition and put the key.

are u referring to a bypass module where it required u giving ur extra key to cc (for the alrm) to bypass factory so it would remote start?

the dealership is probably the only place you could get an extra key if you dont already have one. Their is a "code" that they put in a microchip in the key that your car recognizes upon turning the key.

Wal-mart now makes keys with the codes, if you have the original though.

no, theres an actual key that we gave them, its somewhere hidden in the car hooked to the bypass module that hemi-22 said

Oh well sht, i would imagine it would be under the dash somewhere, maybe the glove box.

On second thought, why the fck dont they know where they put it? Id imagine they put them in the same place in most cars...
