Help an Idiot decide..

Well, I asked some people to help me figure out some upgrades over my current system. I have some crappy Sony 6x9 I'm looking to upgrade, and also add an amp to power said speakers. I will be laying the wire to add a sub in the near future, just not right now. I have a 99 Ram Quad cab. 6x9 front, roughly 6.5" rears

One person recommended Alpine type R speakers, one recommended Phoenix Gold speakers. Now, I have never heard of Phoenix Gold, so I am a little weary of them. I don't remember the amps they recommended, but what would be a good amp to run the fronts, and a 10" sub in the near future. Not looking to go more than a single 10, maybe a 12". And I don't need to be huge deep rattle my fillings bass, so don;t need a 1000watt amp.

I will be using this for a huge mix of music, rock, hard rock, country, rap, and so on. The rears will most likely be run off the Sony deck, or the amp till I add a sub. The fronts will be run off an amp.

Also, my deck says its XM-Ready, so what would I need to add XM radio?

I know its a lot of questions, but I just need a little direction. Thank you.

You would have to get a subscription if you wanted to use the XM feature.

Yeah, I am aware of that. THe wife already has one for her car, but I would get one for mine as well.
