HELP Amp Guidance

Alright so I just bought two MTX T451204's (Link) which is a RMS 225 watt sub at 4 ohms and was wondering what kind of amp to use for these subs. I'm pretty new at this and wasn't sure whether I should get a mono amp or a 2 channel amp. Also do i need an amp putting out 4 ohms or 2 ohms since I am using two subs. I was looking at the Sony Xlpod 600W two channel amp (see specs). in this case i would bridge the two channels and it would be doing 250 watts RMS x 1 at 4 ohms correct? would this work for my purpose? Also i was looking to connect my amp through a line out converter rather than replacing my head unit, how economical is this? i just purchased one, but have read that it can result in a loss of quality.
