Help! Amp cuts out when car is running everything works perfect on acc

If anyone could help me I have a 95 corolla with a Rockford fosgate p4404 and 2 kicker cvr 10s wired at 4 ohms. All 4ga wiring done right. The system works flawlessly when the car is off and accessory key is on. When the car is running the amp goes into protect at 3/4 volume. Also if I unplug the alternator it works just fine and the alternator is putting out 14v. As soon as I plug it back in amp goes into protect. I’m confused seems the alternator is doing it’s job correctly. Thanks for any help

Yeah, put the probes on the power wire and ground wire of the amplifier. Multimeter on DC. Do not put it on the wires that go to your speakers. M

That is correct. I like these as they are twisted pair and the RCA ends are thick and grip quite nicely...
