I have 2 10' Alpine SWR-10D2 Type R Subs waiting for install in a sealed enclosure but I have no clue about which is a good amp to use with it because of all the factors that go into it lol. I have a friend who knows about car audio but he runs Power Acoustik on EVERYTHING (2 15" MOFO Subs, amp, tweeters)!!!!! And I searched around and all I got was bad reviews and basically they are a **** brand so idk. That is why I jumped on a forum to ask knowledgeable people lol and my budget is limited to $180.

The Subs Specs:

Sensitivity: 82 dB

RMS Power Range : 1000 Watts

Peak Power Handling: 2000 Watts

Impedance: 2 Ohm

Frequency response: 26-200 Hz

and just curious can you use a mono amp with this setup?

yeah I'm gonna run 2 10s lol I should still get the 1000w @ 2 ohms still? and I seen the diagrams but would it be better with the final impedance @ 2 ohms or 4 is what Im trying to ask....
2. Wired in series parallel with d2's you'll get a 2 ohm load.

2 dual 2 can wire to 2 ohm. 2 dual 4s can wire to 4 or 1ohm. There are amp options with both. At 2ohm the alpine is good. If you want 1ohm the mentioned SQ-1200 is good.
and both subs should be on a monoblock instead of a 2 channel right?
