Hi my name is EDD and im new to the forums. i signed up at a diff place called sounddomain but no one really wants to help so here i am.
I have never really been into car audio but when it comes to home audio i know what im doing. i would like to get into something for my 01 impala. I love music and my pc is full of music and i have 3 ipods.
anyways i would like to stay on some kind of budget such as 1000 or less (would like to stay way under 1000 if possible) but still have a great sound and hard hitting bass. i went to my local car audio shop called wells brothers and they have a huge selection of everything. powerbass, eclipse, jl audio, boston and alot of subs that i can afford and dont want to spend that much.
ive also went to circuit city and best buy and they had kickers only L5's they said they will not sell L7's and Rockford Fosgate and mtx's. i am not sure if any of these are top of the line/name brand except for kickers.
what would you suggest, I have purchased a deck so far wich is a Eclipse CD7100 CD Receiver from circuit city but thats it. i am looking for "SPL" and im looking for 2 subs.
one last thing. i have a friend who wants to sell 1 single 12 inch JL Audio 12w3 with a box for 50 dollars. there is a pic below could you tell me if its worth it or not to buy it period. thanks
