Help a component noob please

So I've never upgraded mids and highs before and I figure it's about time.

My car has stock 6 3/4" mid woofers in front doors with 1 1/4" tweeters and then it has 6x9s in the back.

I was thinking I could get a bracket for the back to house a 6.5 and tweeter.

If I did this, I'd have 4 midbass speakers and 4 tweeters

My questions are...

1. If a component set like this says 60rms, is that for the mid and the tweeter combined? Or 60rms each? And do they get wired together to one channel from the crossover?

Rockford Fosgate T16-S Power Series 6-1/2" component system at Crutchfield.com

2. I would need a 4channel amp? How much power on mids and highs would I need to balance out 2 12s on 3krms in the back of a hatchback?

Oh yeah I got a pioneer avh-x3700bhs which has the network mode, I'm just using standard mode right now, so maybe I wouldn't need crossovers?

Yeah I want just loud and clean because my stock system will distort on lows in low 30hz and also all the highs when I really wanna crank it, I don't want to spend too much money, I don't have a set budget because I want my upgrade to make a difference but I also don't want to go crazy, I'd definitely prefer cheaper and easier, just direct swap in the doors, I'm not trying to pay someone to make me custom door panels

Tell you what i just tried.. successfully.

Cheap raw drivers and bi-amping with good power.

Get a 100x4 @4 ohms amp. Wire the mids and highs individually.

Find some cheap raw drivers- with good specs-- 6.5 inch woofer/mid for your doors...

1" silk dome or whatever for your tweets--

Tune--- balance--- tune--- tune.

You will love it! And be loud and clear.

Do you want to do a whatever setup thats just loud and clean or do you want an amazing sounding front stage? What head unit do you have?
I guess good mid bass as well, my stock speakers I got the bass way turned down because it distorts otherwise when I turn it up loud

What do you mean when you say wire the mids and highs individually? Can you be more specific? I'm sorry I'm such a noob.

Power a set of mids and a set of highs off of 4 separate channels on your 4 channel amp.

Add power-- mix and bake like so

Good midbass comes from good driver, proper acoustical door treatments, a lot of power and tuning. If your head unit is active capable this would help a lot.

Generally a lot of wasted power with components and the set crossover points on the passive may not match your vehicle's acoustics well.

So each mid will go to the same channel as the high that it's being paired with? One channel powers one high and one mid?

I replied to you earlier but forgot to quote you so you might not have seen it, I got the pioneer avh-x3700bhs, with a three way network mode or standard mode.

How much power are you talking about? And can you recommend a good driver so I can get an idea of what we're talking about? Lol

1 channel PER SPEAKER--dude---
Okay but that would mean I could only have two mids and two tweeters, should I do that and then just keep my rear 6x9s stock and powered off head unit?

Or get a bigger amp and get 4 mids and 4 tweeters?

nvx jad 800.4 or alphard 200.4

Crescendo UN 6.5

Image dynamics xs28

These drivers have way more capability than fosgate t1s any given day. T1s are weak as fk from the setups ive heard

Rears on head unit power or taken off completely. They just get in the way.

With the drivers i suggested you should be heard well over a football field away. People in the back should have zero issues hearing it.

If you want a crazy setup, it would require you to modify your front doors to fit multiple mids

Cool ****, thanks guys, helps alot, I might look into getting a used Rockford t600.4 just so it matches my rf t2500-1bdcp but I'm excited and know what I need to know now I think.
