Alternators apply a load on the engine in proportion to the current they are asked to produce.13 on premium supercharged V8 but its worth it!! Wouldnt you get horrible gas mileage from your alternator having to pump out all that current or do alternators always run at full power????
Ah, nobody likes JU. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gifWhat's your S/N on JU?
what do you drive and what does your system consist of. and i think you mean 3".I feel you - i had to get an "add a leaf" 3' rear lift kit just to lift the back from the weight of batteries - amps - subs - and thick fiberglass
yeah something is wrong, cause i have a 05 silverado ext cab with the 5.3, 7"s of lift and 35" muds, and i get 8 or so around town.I get about 8mpg in city and dont even have a system. Around 11-13 on the trails.I got an 89 toy pickup ext cab 3.0 V6 on 33" swampers and 2" suspension lift. I think my maf is blown!
That little 3 liter is a gas hog even when new. It will get tops 18 mpg in perfect running condition on a stock rig. I got a friend who is gonna swap me MAF's so we can see if thats the problem.yeah something is wrong, cause i have a 05 silverado ext cab with the 5.3, 7"s of lift and 35" muds, and i get 8 or so around town.
yea, too much car and too small of a motor will actually result in bad milage. That little 3 liter is a gas hog even when new. It will get tops 18 mpg in perfect running condition on a stock rig. I got a friend who is gonna swap me MAF's so we can see if thats the problem.
