Sup guys just joined this cool group, Well i have a question I'm interested in purchasing the 10W7 with the box premade from JL but im not really sure whether to go with the H.O. ported box or the sealed box. Which do you think will sound better for mainly heavy metal listening and a little bit of rap? thanks guys

Louder...those H.O. boxes are ported low so it will have great SQ too

I would agree with the ported JL's HO boxes are so well designed that when played next to there sealed its no comparisson trust me at a shop we have here they have both for test/display and the ported is 10x better even for me and i love sealed but that box changed my mind so go ported man you wont regret it espically with that w7

Ported tends to give a slight boost to the bass, in my car I have been switching back and forth from sealed to ported, and with ported the double bass is so much more defined. I definatly like ported better. Plus it will be louder overall typically anyway.
