Hey guys I just wired up a new system in my car and I am getting heavy engine noise through my system. Its a relatively high frequency noise which raises in pitch with accordance to the engine revs. And as the system turns on it makes loud staticy noises.

Here is exactly its install:

Sony Xplode 4 guage amp wiring kit,

Average Pioneer CD headunit

2900 Powervox 5 channel amp,

rear 6.5" MB Quart Discus components

front 4" MB Quart Discus Coaxials

How do you guys think I can make it stop.

Thanks Guys

Did you run your RCA's and your power wire on the same side?

oh i just read that you have the 880. That one is notorious for the Pionner whine. Look for the sticky in the headunit section, its at the top and the title says engine whine

Its a ghetto but easy fix.

You just need to manually make thee ground for your RCA's

There are pictures in that thread

Nah I made sure to run the power on the opposite side to the RCA's and speaker wires. Yeh was talking to guy at work and I think that is the problem.. The ground loop thing.. Will buy one of those isolators tomorrow and let you know how it goes. Thanks for your help guys
