Heard the new Zapco Reference spkrs today ....

You like Zapco way too much. Honestly. Chill. You should look at some other companies. Not just skim the products on the websites. Go play with them and read the user manual.
i have only had extensive experience with EQ's and signal processing. when it comes to signal processing and amplification, zapco is the shit. when it comes to amps and processing i have used some of the best gear out there to draw my conclusions. i have had countless brands of amps and still go back to zapco. why would i ditch all my arc eq's and audio controls for zapco, there must be a reason. if you want to bring down a great audio company go ahead, but maybe you should throw some money up and see for yourself what kind of league they are in. it is tough to tell someone go check out other stuff when you dont know what they are talking about.

So basically you will defend anything that has a Zapco badge on it? Don't get me wrong I like there amps alot. There procs are nice too but there comps sound like shit. sorry but it's true.
id be willing to bet that not 90% of the people commenting on them have even heard them. you have to remember that the gear is only as good as the person installing it.

True, but also take into account that if two sets of components installed in EXACTLY the same evironment and powered the same sound completely different.. maybe one of them blows.

Those Zapco processors are analog pieces as well and not as capable as the DXE.. nothing comes close to digital precision in my mind. Which the DXE apparently is.

whats the difference between running that multi piece processor than running the zapco DAII-SL, SLX-4, and the SX-SLII.

Because the DXE is one unit that does it all. Why you would want more pieces in your signal chain is beyond me. Keeping it as clean and as simple as possible is the BEST way to keep the noise floor low and unwanted problems (buzzes, distortion, harmonics) out.

symbilink is cleaner than any rca i have evr dealt with. oh an by the way it is still a 3 piece processor either way.

for one, the zapco components are bad ***. i know people on here are huge arc fans .
could count'm in less than one hand in this forum...thats the besides the point

i dont feel that the dxe even compared to the SP7 or the SX-SLII. not even close. but what do i know, i am arguing with arc boy.
lol///you wouldn't even know how to tune an SX-SL... How do you go about getting a particual xover point?

The DXE has PRECISE digital control over an analog brain the size of your typical amp, using 2 1/2 din controllers....how do 2 chincy half din units compare to that? Get real dude...

It's still a multiple path interruption even if it is the cleanest. Going off of principle alone.. you'd want to stay away from doing that.

And its not a three piece. Since its digitally controlled no audio flows to the front controlls. It's all at the brain. One signal path.

arc boy, get off your arc trip and dont let your ignorance get the best of you. how about you get real dude and try some other shit for a change, hell it might even sound better.

oh, dont even get me started on the zapco digitals by the way. talking about sickest control possible. with the 10 band eq on each channel and digital time alignment built into the amp
do you mean Kicker sx's? haha...whooohooo big deal...

only a true audiophile can appreciate that kind of sound though.
lol...that must be you huh?

the one that runs 500/1 JL's to each of side to Diamond D6's:rolleyes:

The 18 yr old that has 5 cars and has had 10 2005 Eclipse decks....dude how full of shyt are you?

Zapco is a great brand, trust me they dont need you sticking up for them, more like a disservice...

bri487, youve had 5 cars and seem to bash Everything Not Zapco. Youve had all this great highend gear overtime and yet your still just a child at 18. I dont see one acomplishing much at that age to criticize things they havent even experienced. Especially at such a newb age.

Try thinking outside the box and eliminating your tunnel vision of Zapco. I think you push their products more than they themselves do.

I've played with more References and c2k's that you could dream of, great amplifiers...

Can you tell the difference between a a $250 XXK2050 and a C2k2.0x ($600)- I sure didn't....lol I must not be an audiophile like you...haha:laugh:

Hence the reason we replaced that C2K. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Yeah .....I know they are not a speaker company persay , however I was still shocked at just how bad they are !
Marketing or not, if you are going to put your hard earned name on something, the stuff should live up to the name.
