Hearbeat Sounds from mtx 8100d

I just installed a MTX 8100d amp and when i turn up the gain high enough to hear the bass it starts making heartbeat like sounds. I 'm hooked up to 2 jl 12w3's and i have a alpine 7984 head unit..Any HELP would be greatly apppreciated.THx Jeff

i am not sure about this, correct me if i am wrong guys, but that heat beat sound might be bass. I am not sure if I am not just correct me.

check and make sure your ground is tight or just get a better ground im betting that when u do this your heartbeat will stop......

I found out the amp was defective from factory..Is it really possible though to use 4 ga. instead of 1 ga? for power wire?

It has a 1 gauge input for a reason. Use 1 gauge before you f*** something up.
