this isnt my car its a friends but he swears with his other amp he didnt have this sound and he got some new monster rca's but i made him hook up his other amp and it still has the sound just much more faint(much lower wattage amp). im figuring its a grounding issue but wanted to see if anyone had this happen to them before and might know if i have to worry about engin grounds or just the ground to the amp and if a ground loop isolator may fix it?

i looked at it. ground it great power wires are ran on opposite side along with remote all monster cable wiring so id say its satisfactory wires. i was really wondering if there is really any other way that the exhaust noise could get to the subs in the first place. can the exhaust ground cause this? id think that it can not cause this and the only things it can be is rca internal ground issue(doubtful) amp ground issue(doubtful) and hu grounding issue on factory ground(most likely) right?

dude has 3.5 inch exhaust, he doesn't need to hear it in the subs. it was not that bad at all with the little 760w amp but once he put the 4k wat amp on it you cant even hear the music anymore.

you need to ground your rcas

on the headunit touch a piece of wire(speaker or other wise) doesnt have to be large, to the exposed metal of one of the rcas, then touch the other end to the case of the headunit, do this while playing it if possible and if that stops the noise than make both ends permanent

oh its the exhaust lol i know what your getting at tho there buddy, its a ground loop issue no matter how you look at it it's a form of engine whine but again all grounds have been checked and re ran by and ase certified tech including the hu ground leaving nothing but the rcs's internal ground....

thanks tho to phoinx tho for acknowledging the proper prob and you can also view a sticky on rca grounding (especially on the pioneer) if you ever encounter this prob. again it is a last resort tho, right before loop isolators anyway.

mustang cobra 03

used tv but i know the old owner, they never hurt the sound before this guy but a autoban 2630 on his subs so i made him hook up his old 760w amp and low and behold it still has the sound its just nowhere near as bad.

new rca

2 gauge wiring(new)

remote wire was ran on the side with rca's but i fixed that

hu re grounded to the frame after grinding it down.

ground to amp reset 3 times including under the seat buckle post without the seat buckle in the way for added ground isolation

installed rca loop isolator and get nothing out of rca's at all lol

you can still tap on the hu's ground and hear a big *** pop out of the subs tho so it has to be in the hu

stock alt

no big three

over sized bat but not a dry cell or performance bat
