Health Issues

Some of you like Buck, Cliff, Thx, Pop and Spokey know I suffer from serious medical issues. But recently things have gotten really bad.

My back is basically fubared at this point. Multiple fractured vertebrae, at least 2 bulging discs, stenosis throughout the spine as well but what is really concerning is the next part.

My left hip also has gotten really bad to the point between the two I can barely walk without a cane or walker, get out of bed for more then a couple minutes and that is IF I am not in tears or screaming because of how bad the pain is.

Going in next Tues for a lower back epidural surgery to help relieve some back pain to get me through till spring time hopefully before I end up in surgery again for the lower back. I already have a 18 inch scar going down the middle of my back from the 1st one. Thank god for drugs before having that done or idk if I could go through with it

But the part that is so concerning is they found a good sized Lesion on the Left Ilium i.e Left Hip. Doctor thinks at the very least I have a Hip Labral Tear in there or that the arthritis has gotten so bad they need to go in and remove the bursa and replace it at the very least.

Under going a MRI as soon as they can schedule it w/ and w/o contrast to determine if the lesion is cancerous or not. At this point not sure what to think but hoping for the best.

All in all I am little sick of this bs at this point. Tues makes 125 surgeries with 12 just since last October. And depending on that MRI a Hip Surgery at the very least. I hope to put that off if I can till after Jan 7th as at this point still planning on going to the Bears-Packers game but if not oh well.

This isn't meant to be as rude as it sounds (actually a genuine question, because I don't understand): what do you expect to gain by sharing your medical problems? Do you want pity? prayers? [survivor's] guilt? donations? I just can't think of a reason to reach out to other relative strangers to share your woes.

It sounds like you have been dealt a bad hand, but you shouldn't let yourself become a victim. There is always someone better off than yourself, and there is always someone worse off than yourself.

I wish you the best.

I did it because a few people were wondering and had asked me. Some don't come around much and it was easier then sending 10 freaking emails or dm's.

I am not a victim. I always know there is people worse off then I am. I also know as long as I have food, net, a house and tv I am better off then others.

Now instead of questioning why someone would do this... If it turns out it is really bad and I disappear then those people who I talk to offline around here will at least know something is up and had happened. Much easier then doing all those emails.

edit: Also fyi my syndrome that I suffer from I am only #13 or #14 known to have it in all of NA. Also only one doctor treats it and he is german and at Vanderbilt now as a professor who is no longer seeing patients before he was at Mayo Clinic hence how I got diagnosed and found him.

If you want to know what this stuff does basically it destroys your joints, teeth, anything related to bones. Causes multiple forms of arthritis, causes kidney stones like crazy, along with a bunch of other issues. I was told at 30 I would be lucky to make it to 40 let alone 45 without being in a wheelchair the rest of my life. Somehow I've made it to almost 47. I've almost died 4 or 5 times that I can remember, my case is used nationwide for Blood Sepsis and MRSA as I had less then a 5% chance of making it and did because of the then experimental drugs they used on me in 2010.

Trust me if I really wanted pity I would go much much deeper into everything that has happened. I don't want pity or money or anything. I only wanted to update the few people who know what is going on nothing more. If people are going to be like the post above I'll get the admin to delete it. First thought of someone and they go to that nonsense because of how some people are looking for that crap. Any of those people I listed will tell you I am up front and tell it the way it is. If I wanted something I would fecking ask for it. Good grief.

Shows 2 lesions both benign. But medical recommends removing them and looks like the bursa sac needs to be removed and the arthritis cleaned out.

I had a back epidural on last Tuesday which is slowly helping but most likely surgery in the spring to stabilize the two back bulging discs.

So looks like a clean out surgery on the left hip most likely. IF doc says no I am going to talk him into it because no way am I dealing with this kind of pain when they can go in remove that bursa sac, a new one grows in it's place, and clean up the arthritis like they do my knees. I'd rather have a couple month recovery and then some less pain for the next year or so then deal with this garbage every day.
