headunit doesn't turn on

anytime, just remember that if you keep it hooked up like that, everytime you leave the car, you will have to press the power button on the head unit to manually shut it off. because having wired like that enables you to turn on the stereo with the car off also. so just be careful not to drain the battery.

you could also tap it into another switched hot wire in the fuse box
