Headlights.

I have some (forget the brand) from Pep Boys that I caught on clearance....marked down from $40/pair to $10/pair because they were discontinuing them. They very boldly stated on the packaging that they required the additional purchase of their own brand's aftermarket wiring harness as they would melt stock wiring (which I did not bother with and haven't had any problems thus far)

But look at it this way: Those aftermarket harnesses are splicing onto stock wires, are they not? It isn't as if you're replacing the wire all the way back to the main vehicle harness where it originates and if you aren't doing that then those headlight bulbs are still being powered via factory wires. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

relays can be your friend:)

the best and brightest lights out there are European Silverstar's (the clear Glass, not coated) and Narva! Check those out very bright. if you find some on ebay let me know, i need to get my hands on some Euro silverstars.

I ahve some eurodegnz stuff... pretty bright, and in a bluish/brisht white tint... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif

i have silverstars now, decent, but nothgin special, i was looking for some blueish ones

i want to save up for a hid kit:(
What do hid kits run for... back to the topic:Dont buy any of the cheap ones on ebay. I made the decison of doing that and lost the brights and they ******. it was luckily only like 7 bucks though.

usually 300-400 depending on kits. But I prefer oem kit as they last the longest and overall the best. Got mine off a is300 and quite happy with them. You know what they say, once you go hid's you dont go back! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

how does that work if you get them off a different car, do you have to rewire or what?

Nope the ballast plug and play into your stock wiring. The only thing is to make sure you get the right bulb type to fit your housing. I got this same kit here

OEM H.I.D

If you want to actually do true hid then get the whole housing retrofit. But a good hid rebased kit like the one above is still significantly > than halogen.

i spent 210 on my HID's and they weren't worth it. then again that was on my dakota with the 1 piece diamond cut euro headlights and i already had some blue euro one's that were bright as hell. people kept flashing their brights at me at night thinking i had my brights on.
