Other than silverstars.. What are the brighest bulbs I can use on a stock wiring system.
relays can be your friendI have some (forget the brand) from Pep Boys that I caught on clearance....marked down from $40/pair to $10/pair because they were discontinuing them. They very boldly stated on the packaging that they required the additional purchase of their own brand's aftermarket wiring harness as they would melt stock wiring (which I did not bother with and haven't had any problems thus far)
But look at it this way: Those aftermarket harnesses are splicing onto stock wires, are they not? It isn't as if you're replacing the wire all the way back to the main vehicle harness where it originates and if you aren't doing that then those headlight bulbs are still being powered via factory wires. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
What do hid kits run for... back to the topici have silverstars now, decent, but nothgin special, i was looking for some blueish ones
i want to save up for a hid kit![]()
What do hid kits run for... back to the topicont buy any of the cheap ones on ebay. I made the decison of doing that and lost the brights and they ******. it was luckily only like 7 bucks though.
how does that work if you get them off a different car, do you have to rewire or what?usually 300-400 depending on kits. But I prefer oem kit as they last the longest and overall the best. Got mine off a is300 and quite happy with them. You know what they say, once you go hid's you dont go back! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
Nope the ballast plug and play into your stock wiring. The only thing is to make sure you get the right bulb type to fit your housing. I got this same kit herehow does that work if you get them off a different car, do you have to rewire or what?
pleasae do not go and do this its just a waste of moneyjust buy an HID kit, they have ones that u just plug and play, comes with the ballast and everything FTW
