HID's were not necessary. You just padded your pocket with a sale. He could of spent that money on a battery and actually FIXED his problem. Hes pulling 145 amps, and his alt puts out 110 amps... and the 145 Amps is just the stereo system, not anything extra. To say he does not need an alternator is just plain ignorant. EVENTUALLY his alt will crap out for being asked to do to much especially with the battery he has now;If he's got HIDs which fix the dimming problem and puts another battery in the back in the future just to help his electrical out a bit, I think he's gonna be just fine.
y should i return the hid kit?HID's were not necessary. You just padded your pocket with a sale. He could of spent that money on a battery and actually FIXED his problem. Nobody on the forum sold anything. I don't know what you're talking about. An extra battery most likely would not have solved the issue. Like Richard said, an extra battery isn't going to help your alternator keep your system at 14v. 13, maybe. But headlights can dim with even .2v of drop, and no battery is gonna stop that minimal of drop. So no matter how much he drops, he's not gonna fix this problem. Even a H.O. alternator might not do it. Sure, the HIDs weren't the perfect fix, but they're a decent one to fix the dimming. Yes, a H.O. alternator would be optimal. Of course it would, it'd be useful in any system. However, it's not always essential.HID's were not necessary. You just padded your pocket with a sale. ive already bought the hids, im thinking they''ll spruce the ride up a little, they are helios 8k hids, i posted a link a couple posts ago to what im pretty sure they are, can i get some feedback on these?I'd start with a battery and if that doesn't solve it i'd go with the new headlights like the guy above me said or buy a new alt. A good set of headlights would run you more than an ho alt though...
Weird. Sounds like this guy just sold him something...I am gonna add you to another car audio sale group on Facebook, I know someone with a really good HID brand at really good prices and an even better warranty bro. I shouldn't be doing this, causes I am mad jealous of the Cubans you got a couple months back, mmmm, Cubans...lol. I will tag you in the post
I bought me a 9 mnth old singer 275a for 310. what kind of battery would I look for for undr the hood?Weird. Sounds like this guy just sold him something...
Its your battery under your hood!!!!!!! I would bet that if you replaced it with a slow release like i said your dimming would disapear. Your crap battery under the hood is trying to fully discharge each time it gets drawn (Its normal with regular battery's. They give Bursts of energy, IE for starting cars)
Nice welcome to better voltageI bought me a 9 mnth old singer 275a for 310. what kind of battery would I look for for undr the hood?
thanks
would this be idealJust find ya a good agm batt big as you can fit. Now your alt can do the work to
Xs power is said to be the best of high end batts
Deka is a great low priced batt. Just make sure it's made to go under hood. Some car audio batts are made just to go in cab
But if that alt works like it should just pick you out a nice gel cell and be done with it.
