Head units with "too many" setup options...

Its possible to have way too many options on a deck. I had a pioneer that required adjustments everytime I changed radio stations or cds. Now I just listen to news talk radio and haven't boughtered to replace the OEM deck. how gay is that.
Why not just turn off or zero all of the features, then you basically have a "simple deck"? Then you could tweak later if you felt so inclined.

...but what if the money that company A spends on putting in more features, company B spends on the quality of what IS there.

Not saying that always happens, but it certainly could explain why a 9255, for example, costs more than a $200 pioneer(or alpine, clarion, eclipse, etc).

my simple alpine cda 9847 is just fine

bass, treble, fader, balance.

bass has volume increase, freq, and wide or narrow feature

treble has volume, and freq

etc.. etc.... good hu for 170 bucks imo, best money spent in a while

next hu will prob be an eclipse or pioneer though
