Head Unit.

What features do you want?

You could pick up a used HU that has built in processing (x-over, time alignment, and EQ). Also, for that price you could get a Pioneer DEH-P880PRS. That would be a good route to take.

k. thanks everyone. But i'v only got about $250 left to spend on a Head unit now i'v decided to purchase a Kicker L7 15" Sub. i was thinking maybe Alpine head or Pioneer?

You never answered the question in post #2.

I would go the used route if that is the amount you have left. Something like an Alpine CDA-9833 would be a very good HU, plus it sounds like you will be using the internal amp. This HU has pretty good output from the internal amp, that is, as far as HU amps go.

I've never been a fan of the Glidetouch thing...

I just picked up an 880 w/xm reciever for 280.00 shipped off ebay. You can find the CD5000 for less than 250.00 shipped right now BNIB, somebody had them for like 215.00 BNIB no refurb. Just to throw out a couple options someone already mentioned the 880. I also saw a used 8053 couple days ago for like 150.00+shipping.
