Having trouble taking out HU

probably a pretty stupid question but im having a tough time taking out my HU. I understand that use the clip things that it comes with but im not sure how to use them. Can anybody give me a detailed description of exactly how I have to use these clips to take out the HU. It is a newer Kenwood model if that is important.

I try a small screwdriver and pry on anything that is hung.

I had trouble taking out my old pioneer. it was wierd cuz every time I tried pulling on it the H/U screamed, the neighbors were terrified

'just use knives on either side between the hu and the clips. voila.
