head unit-speakers scratching when bass hits

Alright, quick ? here,

I have a jensen in-dash cd player and yesterday driving down the road my two speakers started scratching(out of 4) 2 tweets and 2 6.5 door speakers. When i turn my fade all the way to the rear, it is fine, but it scratches a lot when i turn the fade to 0, to +9(to the front speakers). Anyone have any suggestions? could the wires in the back be touching a metal piece and creating the distortion, or do you think the front channel of the amp in the head unit could have blown?

Ill take it apart tomorrow but i just wanted some suggestions first.
