I love my stock HU on my 99 Grand Cherokee, it has everything I need such as...bass mid treb cd casette player so i might just use a LOC, but im debatin about gettin a HU because I hear they have lots more bells n whistles to adjust your subs with (a kid told me), if u get a nice one that is not crap.

What do you think? HU or LOC and why please.

you will like the aftermarket better, you are just used to the stocker //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif just look for one that matches right with your car, and you will never look back. the sound is way better, and the upgradeability (i don't even think that's a word) with an aftermarket HU is a huge plus.

Not to mention if you get a crappy LOC your going to be sending a less than clean signal...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

after markte deck will own you with much better SQ and functions...itll be worth it man //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Don't count on an instant sound quality improvement with an aftermarket head unit. Your Grand Cherokee is almost certainly equipped with a factory amplifier, so even with a new head unit, you'll still be running with stock speakers driven by a stock amp.

If the only upgrade you plan to do is adding a subwoofer, then go with the LOC. If you intend to upgrade your speakers too, then start with a new head unit and bypass the factory amp.

If you love your stock head unit then keep it. Get a LOC and work on spending your money on upgrades that will make a substantial change in the sound, like new speakers and amps.

Then later if you have more money and feel it will help, then you can buy an aftermarket headunt.

Your car can sound amazing using a LOC. As long as it has all the features you desire I say keep your stocker.
