Hello,

I have a Pioneer DEH-P47H which is a Chrysler specific headunit. Anyways I am running the stock speakers up front on the HU power. I just got a Kicker Solobaric 8" and Us Acoustic 2x100 to power it. It sounds real nice. It's for my Jeep so I needed as little space as possible (.45) I have two questions I hope some of you can hlpe me with.

1. My headunit has a low pass filter on it that is either 125, 80, 50 hz. My Us Acoustic amp has a LPF. Which should I use? Is one a better quaility filter. I think the 2x100 is a 24db?

2. What should I set the LPF at for the sub (Kicker Solobaric L5 8" in sealed enclosurem down firing)?

Thanks in advance.

use both filters. barring any signal quality loss (shouldn't get any) you'll end up with an even sharper drop off.

As for frequency, people say start at 80 for a 12" and then slowly work your way up (while listening to your favorite music). It's all about a balance with how low you want your car to boom at (yes, the sub can do the filter at 120 hz, but it's likely to sound like a bunch of buzzing if you're listening to things with tons of low frequencies).

It would also be easy to add an equalizer to have individual rca inputs for all of the channels. A decent one can be had for less than $40...

There are a couple of options. You can use a marine bt unit. They come in the size of a hockey puck and can mount anywhere. This is the marine unit.

There are bluetooth amplifiers. You can just use your phone or an I Pod as the music source and not touch the radio.
