Head unit HELP

Hi, I'm new here and have a question. I haven't installed or purchased a stereo for a car since 1984. I have a 2005 Chevy Silverado Extended Cab and want to upgrade my system from stock. I want good sound quality and any options you think I might need. I would like to stay under 300.00 if possible. Later I'll be adding new door speakers ,two 10 inch subwoofers and a amp. Any suggestioins or help would be appreciated.
