Thanks. The 40" does well with my limited space. It will make a nice bedroom TV when I buy a house. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gifnice setup you got there man.
It wasn't directed at you or anyone in particular, sorry for quoting you though. Just saying its pretty sad when I walk into a friends house and he has his 3 grand tv hooked up to a vcr only, and a cheap old antenna or another friend who is to cheap to buy an hdmi cable for his ps3. I bet their not the only ones doing this...I don't understand why this sarcasm is really needed? I forgot that you have a say in what my parents buy I guess? He has HD channels....just b/c he can't watch blu-ray or hd-dvd's doesn't mean that fuc*ing comets are gonna fall from the sky, followed by meteor showers and tidal waves.
Now going back to being serious I understand that it would seem stupid but he just likes to buy things whenever they are a little cheaper. He doesn't buy everything all at once he likes to save and then buy items.
Oh and it's your money, I couldn't care less if you went out and bought b&W 800 series and hooked it up to a cheap receiver. You do what you wish.
I worded it wrong, I should of put HD SOURCE. Not necessarily a player but at least high def cable. It makes plenty of sense actually. They just invested 2-4 grand on a standard they are fairly certain will stick around for the foreseeable future. If all goes well, there should be no reason to replace it for quite a while. However, unless players go dual format... they will certainly be boned one way or another by the format wars. I can see not wanting to spend a minimum of 300 dollars each on a dvd player for both formats. Hell, maybe they just dont watch movies very often?
Just because someone sees something in a different light than you do, doesn't mean their logic is flawed.

now that's a find!!Blah. I would like a blue-ray player, however, I couldn't pass up the HD-DVD add-on.
Picked it up for $149 on a x-mas sale. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
I'll try and snag a real picture tomorrow. Might have to wait till Sunday though I'll be moving into a new house and my folks will be helping me.I understand sometimes its hard to take pictures for different reasons, but it sure would be cool if everyone would post some //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
Have you posted a picture of your entire system yet? It'd be cool to see that...I understand sometimes its hard to take pictures for different reasons, but it sure would be cool if everyone would post some //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
Not much different. I have actually token out the krell and boxed it up. (sold locally pending payment, to have more money for new towers)Have you posted a picture of your entire system yet? It'd be cool to see that...
I have read that others have had the same problem's, and it does feel flimsy... I have dropped it a couple of time from about 2 feet high onto the carpet. but the good thing is that the buttons are like blocks so they go right back on but need glue i gues i just went crazy on the glue. and anyways i hate needing to point the remote at teh stuff all the time and sometimes certain things dont get the signal.**** dude that's a lot of mullah for a remote. It looks cool though. The logitech 880 is the remote I wanted for a long time, does it break that easily?
They should still be $200 off all HD-DVD players when you buy a toshiba TV at Circuit City...Blah. I would like a blue-ray player, however, I couldn't pass up the HD-DVD add-on.

I know that the picture quality in big box stores is horrible. They have 1 or 2 cable feeds to supply a few hundred TV's. And none of them have been calibrated properly. HENCE the reason I tried to mainly only look at TVs that were being fed with a single source (such as a single Blu-Ray player or HD-DVD player. I also went to a local shop that has rediculous prices, but they also have every TV set up correctly, and have MANY viewing rooms with single TV's.Just an FYI, but you can NOT judge a TV by the picture you see in the store. NONE of them have been calibrated, so you're only seeing the "out of box" settings. With calibrating one of the other TV's might actually look the best.
I'm saying that in general, not about the specific one you bought as I'm not familiar with it.
Go to avsforum and search for your TV and see what the feedback is on it. Might also have calibrating tips, etc...
With all that said, as long as YOU enjoy watching it that's all that really matters.
I bought a 32" HD TUBE TV a few months back. I still think the good old tube has the BEST picture going. And it's only a bedroom TV.
Using a DLP projector in the family room for 92" of goodness....
