Why? They were both solid choices.

Off of 3000 watts I'd do the nightshades without hesitation though.

ive seen too many nightshades fail... im just goin to keep to myself.

there both great choices, just pick one that suites you best.

Bass

No you haven't - there are very few of them in Texas at all.
Six that I am aware of. I'm pretty sure you haven't seen all of them much less "too many" of them fail.
x2, just not gonna happen. some of the best build quality on amps and subs i have ever seen. i was shocked when i got my 18, it is a thing of pure beauty. go with the NS, it will be the best choice you have ever made

I know that one 18" failed in Texas - but that is certainly not normal, nor is that "too many" failures.

We have a Team guy running a 3000D @ 19v / 0.5 ohm on each of his for extended music demoing. Now, I don't suggest that or warranty it - but people are doing it.

I was burping two 3000s @ 1/2 each on my bone stock 15" Nightshade in the Jeep doing 152.1 dB sealed on the dash @ 50 Hz.

That video says alot about Sundown Audio. The quality that goes into its subs and amps is more that established online and esp on this forum. Not to mention Jacob is one of the nicest guys around. I know personally I have sent him probly a couple dozen emails about his products and he always is will to help out.

As far as Nightshade vs HDC, its up in the air. One big plus about the Nightshades is they require smaller boxes than normal if space is a problem.

Both solid woofers with the customer support to back it up, honestly cant go wrong with either....

this should not even be a poll.

AQ all the way. I know AQ comes off as a cheap'ish brand, but trust me, the only thing that's better is the sister company DD subs, which are at the least 2x the price.

That is a bold statement unless you have tested every woofer there is to say the ONLY thing better is DD.

Both DD and AQ make good stuff - but there are MANY other excellent choices out there.

i love my aq stuff, ive owned a hd312 hdc312 aq 1200d and currently have a aq 2200d hdc315 and hdc318. im probly gonna get a 3500d this summer. but i wouldnt mind trying out a saz3k on a ns 18.
